Getting Started

No. PaperStream AI works with PaperStream Capture Pro and does not require separate software installation. PaperStream Capture Pro connects to your cloud-based PaperStream AI tenant to process documents. You can login and access your tenant here: https://us.paperstream-ai.pfu.ricoh.com/portalweb

A grace period is included to give you time to install the software and become familiar with it before the license term begins. It also helps align billing cycles to the end of the month.

Please check your spam or junk email folder, as multiple reminder emails may be sent. Please note that you must accept the subscription agreement before receiving a license activation code. You may also contact your seller, as they should have received a copy as well. Credits and Usage

Credits are used when pages are processed by PaperStream AI. Actions such as rotation, replacement, after-scan correction, and form reclassification require re-recognition processing and are counted as pages for credit usage. Each page/credit shall consist of one-sided page scans only. Scanners and PaperStream IP Import that include driver-level blank page removal will remove blank pages before they are processed. File Import processes all imported images.

No. Base tenant credits are tied to each yearly term. For example, if you purchase a Gold tenant with a 3-year term, you receive 50,000 base page/credits each year ("Annual Credits"). If you run out of Annual Credits during that yearly term, you will need to purchase additional pages/credits at your tenant level. All credits, including Annual Credits and any additional purchased and activated credits, expire at the end of the current yearly term. At the start of the next yearly term, your base Annual Credits will be activated again. In this example, that would be 50,000 pages/credits. No. Unused pages/credits purchased or activated do not roll over to subsequent renewal term and shall expire at the end of the current subscription year, and will be forfeited without refund. Unused base credits and any additional activated credits are non-transferable and non-refundable and will expire at the end of the then current subscription year. At the start of the next new yearly term, your base credits will be activated again.

Currently, co-terms should be purchased together with a yearly or multi-year license and added before the license is activated. Please contact our sales team for more information.

Pages/Credits will stack for the co-term period and expire when the co-term ends. For example, if you purchase three months of co-terms at 5,000 credits per month, you will have 15,000 credits available to use before they expire at the end of the 3-month co-term period.

Plans and Licensing

Yes. Multiple tenants are available for organizations that need to track software purchases separately across different lines of business. Please note that each PaperStream Capture Pro license and seat can only be connected to one PaperStream AI tenant at a time. Purchase your renewal from your reseller or through our eCommerce site: https://store.pfu-us.ricoh.com/ Then, enter your Order License Key inside your tenant using the Register License button to renew.

You can register multiple PaperStream Capture Pro licenses at one time using the Register License button inside the tenant. Order License Keys, such as renewals or credits, must be entered separately, one at a time.

At this time, the tenant master email cannot be changed. However, you can add administrator accounts inside the tenant to help manage and maintain the tenant. For more help, please contact priority support at (866) 357-3788 or techsupport@pfu-us.ricoh.com

Inside the tenant, the initial order will show the number of pages/credits included with the tenant. Silver includes 5,000 pages/credits, Gold includes 50,000 pages/credits, and Platinum includes 200,000 pages/credits. This can help you determine which additional pages/credit package to purchase.  Each page/credit shall consist of one-sided page scans only. Trials and Evaluation

The PaperStream AI trial tenant is available for 60 days and includes up to 500 pages/credits for testing. Each page/credit shall consist of one-sided page scans only. You can request a PaperStream AI trial here: https://www.pfu-us.ricoh.com/scanners/fi/solutions/paperstream-ai

No. Purchased Pages/credits cannot be added to a trial license. Please contact PAI Sales to discuss moving to a full subscription or activating a new tenant to complete your testing. For more information, please contact PAI Sales at (888) 425-8228 or sales@pfu-us.ricoh.com

No. PaperStream AI trial licenses cannot be converted to a subscription. You will need to migrate to a new tenant and move any non-trial PaperStream Capture Pro licenses by deactivating and reactivating them. Yes. To evaluate PaperStream AI, you need licenses for both PaperStream Capture Pro and PaperStream AI. However, you can use a standard PaperStream Capture Pro subscription license with a PaperStream AI evaluation license.
